Individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) experience many difficulties in daily life due to their social communication impairment and behavioral characteristics. They also have difficulty acquiring, generalizing, and maintaining complex vocational skills required in job sites. Interventions utilizing technology have been used to teach individuals with ASD a variety of skills, and the use of these interventions is growing at a rapid rate. This review examined the existing literature on technology-based vocational interventions for individuals with ASD. Both English language and Korean language publications were analyzed. Thirty studies met the inclusion criteria and were included in the review. The research design, participant, intervention, used technology, setting, target skills, results, and quality ratings of the included 30 studies were examined. Also, implications and suggestions for future research were discussed. Overall, technology-based interventions were found to be effective in improving various target skills related to the vocational skills of individuals with ASD.
